The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] website is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on here service the area every day. The assistance stage made for intervention experiences a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
